QuickNote Terms of Service

Introduction

Welcome to QuickNote, a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that generates PDF notes from prompts using large language models (AIs). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the QuickNote platform, including the website, application, and services provided by QuickNote. By accessing or using QuickNote, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use QuickNote.

Definitions

• "QuickNote" refers to the SaaS platform, including the website, application, and services provided by QuickNote.
• "User" or "you" refers to the individual or entity using QuickNote.
• "AI" refers to the large language model used by QuickNote to generate notes.
• "Notes" refers to the PDF notes generated by QuickNote from user prompts.
• "Prompt" refers to the input provided by the user to generate notes.

Use of QuickNote

1. Eligibility: You must be at least 13 years old to use QuickNote. By using QuickNote, you represent and warrant that you are at least 13 years old and have the capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
2. Account Registration: To use QuickNote, you may need to create an account. You must provide accurate and complete information during the registration process. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
3. Prohibited Use: You may not use QuickNote for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose. You may not:
   • Use QuickNote to generate notes that infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.
   • Use QuickNote to generate notes that are defamatory, obscene, or harassing.
   • Use QuickNote to generate notes that promote or facilitate illegal activities.
   • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the AI or any other component of QuickNote.
4. Note Generation: QuickNote uses AI to generate notes from user prompts. The notes generated by QuickNote are for general information purposes only and should not be relied upon as professional advice.
5. Note Ownership: The notes generated by QuickNote are owned by QuickNote, and QuickNote grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the notes for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Intellectual Property

1. QuickNote Intellectual Property: QuickNote owns all intellectual property rights in and to the QuickNote platform, including the AI, website, application, and services.
2. User-Generated Content: You own all intellectual property rights in and to the prompts you provide to QuickNote. By providing prompts to QuickNote, you grant QuickNote a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, modify, and distribute the prompts for the purpose of generating notes.
3. Note Intellectual Property: The notes generated by QuickNote may contain intellectual property owned by third parties. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the notes does not infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.

Disclaimer of Warranties

QuickNote provides the platform and services on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. QuickNote disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall QuickNote be liable for any damages, including but not limited to, incidental, consequential, punitive, or special damages, arising out of or in connection with the use of QuickNote, including but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, business interruption, or loss of information.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless QuickNote, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in connection with your use of QuickNote, including but not limited to, your breach of these Terms.

Termination

QuickNote may terminate your access to the platform and services at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, you must cease using the platform and services and destroy all copies of the notes generated by QuickNote.

Changes to Terms

QuickNote may modify these Terms at any time, with or without notice. Your continued use of QuickNote after the effective date of the modified Terms constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms.

By using QuickNote, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
